WIPO, OAPI and ARIPO reach an agreement for IP in Africa

Three most important intergovernmental organizations regarding IP, in Africa and worldwide, World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO, Organisation Africaine de la Propriété Intellectuelle - OAPI and African Regional Intellectual Property Organization – ARIPO have just signed an agreement to promote harmonization and a better coordination regarding IP protection throughout the African Continent.

This agreement, signed on 1st October 2018, will contribute to the development of IP legislation, answering to the long felt needs of addressing the region as whole, when it comes to the protection of all IP interests.
