IP Talks #2 features a session dedicated to Prior Art Search

Organized by the Intellectual Property Office (Núcleo de Propriedade Intelectual, NPI) of Técnico, the second IP Talks session took place on November 27th at the Alameda Campus. Aimed at students, researchers and faculty members, the initiative seeks to promote a practical understanding of key Intellectual Property topics.

The session was led by Susana Rodrigues, Patent Consultant at Inventa, and focused on prior art search in the patent field, an essential step in identifying pre-existing technologies and supporting decisions related to protection, development and disclosure. Participants were introduced to the main methods, tools and classification systems used in patent research, contributing to the development of more effective analysis strategies.
