With two decades of dedicated legal practice, Nicolette is an IP Attorney specializing in end-to-end trademark portfolio strategy. She advises clients on the protection, management and commercialisation of intellectual property assets, with a particular focus on trademark clearance, filing, prosecution, portfolio management, renewals, recordals and multi-jurisdictional strategy.

Her experience also includes patent and design administration, commercial agreements and licensing, intellectual property policy and compliance, dispute resolution, litigation and settlement negotiations. 

She also has extensive experience in intellectual property education, training and mentoring, having lectured postgraduate students, attorneys and other legal professionals.

Admitted as an Attorney by the High Court of South Africa, Nicolette is also a Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL) and a member of the Legal Practice Council, including membership on both the SAIIPL Education Committee and the SAIIPL/CIPC Liaison Committee.
