Partner and Attorney at Law at Inventa, he is responsible for the Official Industrial Property Agents team. Combining legal expertise with a strategic vision for the business, he cooperates daily in the definition and implementation of the most effective Intellectual Property (IP) strategies, aimed at protecting and enhancing the profitability of IP assets. He is a specialist in internationalization strategies related to the transfer of intellectual property rights and licensing agreements. Vítor’s work and expertise have been consistently recognized by several international rankings.
Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and author of several academic works, with emphasis on “The Compulsory Licenses for Industrial Property Rights”, awarded as the winner of the I Prize “Professor Doutor José de Oliveira Ascensão”.
In 2024, following a nomination by the Portuguese Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI), Vítor Palmela Fidalgo was appointed by the Unified Patent Court (UPC) as the Portuguese representative on the Court’s Mediation and Arbitration Center. In this role, he will contribute to the establishment of the UPC Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC).
