Jordan has joined PCT

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will be a full member of the PCT starting June 9, 2017 after its Government deposited the instrument of accession past March 9.

This adhesion will enable Jordanians to more easily apply for international patent protection. Foreign patent applications will also be able to be more easily protected in Jordan taking into account that they will now have around 30 months from the priority date to apply for protection whereas before it was only 12 months.
