APDI Award Professor José de Oliveira Ascensão 2015

One of our IP attorneys from our Portugal office, Master Vitor Fidalgo, was yesterday distinguished with the First Award "Professor José de Oliveira Ascensão" as part of his Master's thesis entitled "Compulsory licenses of Industrial Property Rights".

Established this year by the Portuguese Association of Intellectual Property Law (APDI) in honor of the illustrious professor of the University of Lisbon School of Law by his 50-year academic career, the Award "Professor José de Oliveira Ascensão" is intended to stimulate continuous research and scientific progress in the IP Law area.

The winning work, among the many master's thesis and doctoral dissertations in the area of IP law in the competition, represents a great contribution to the entire academic IP community and it will soon be published on the collection "Studies of Intellectual Property Law" promoted by APDI.
