OAPI starts to apply the 11th Nice Classification

The Organisation Africaine de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OAPI) announced that the new Nice Classification would start to be applied on the process of trademarks’ registration.

OAPI is a regional system implemented in Africa which allows the owners of intellectual property rights to register the same by filing a single application, in the 17 member states that belong to this system.

The 11th Nice Classification started to be applied at OAPI on april 30th of 2017.
